Who we are

Copier Atlanta is an independent referral and quote-matching service. We aim to connect businesses with local copier dealers. We are not a copier dealer, lessor or repair company, and we don't sell, lease, rent or repair equipment ourselves.

What we collect

Information you give us on the quote form: your name, business name, email address, phone number (optional), business ZIP code, the type of equipment or service you need, approximate monthly print volume, color or black-and-white needs, timeline, any notes you add, and a record that you checked the consent box.

Technical information: like most websites, our hosting and form-processing providers may automatically log basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the date and time of your visit. This is used for security, spam prevention and keeping the site running.

Usage data (analytics): when you browse the site, Google Analytics collects information about how you use it through cookies. See "Cookies and analytics" below.

When you send the quote form, we also store your browser type and a one-way coded (hashed) version of your IP address with your request, to help prevent spam and abuse. These are kept with your request for the same period described below.

Why we collect it

• To understand your request and, where suitable local dealers are available, match it with them
• To share your request with those dealers, which the required consent box on the quote form allows when you send the form with it checked
• To contact you about your request if we need to clarify something
• To prevent spam, fraud and misuse of the site
• To keep records of requests and consents, and to meet legal obligations

Who we share it with

• Local dealers: the quote form has a required consent box. Sending the form with that box checked is what lets us share your quote request with up to three independent local copier dealers who serve your area. They may contact you by email or phone about your request. Dealers who receive requests may pay Copier Atlanta a referral fee. Once a dealer receives your information, its own privacy practices also apply, so we encourage you to review them. We're still building our dealer network. If no suitable dealer is available, we don't share your request with any dealer.
• Service providers: companies that host the website or process and deliver form submissions for us, and Google, which provides website analytics under its data processing terms (see "Cookies and analytics" below). They may use your information only to provide those services.
• Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of Copier Atlanta, our users or others.
• Business transfer: if Copier Atlanta or this website is sold or transferred, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

No sale for other purposes

We don't sell or rent your information to data brokers, marketers or anyone else for purposes unrelated to your quote request, and we don't share it with more than three dealers per request. We use it only as described in this policy.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors find and use this website. Google Analytics uses cookies (small text files stored by your browser) and similar technology to collect usage data on our behalf, such as the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, how long you stay, your general device and browser type, your approximate location (for example, city or region, derived from your IP address) and whether a quote request was sent. We have accepted Google's data processing terms for Google Analytics and turned off sharing of our Analytics data with other Google products and services, so Google processes this data on our behalf as our service provider (data processor), subject to those terms.

We don't send your name, business name, email address, phone number, ZIP code or notes from the quote form to Google Analytics. When a quote request is sent, we record only that a request was sent and the type of service chosen (for example, "lease" or "repair"). We have turned off Google signals and advertising personalization for our analytics, and we don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Your choices: you can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, this website doesn't load Google Analytics. How long we keep information

We keep quote requests for up to 24 months, or sooner on request. Within that period, we keep them only as long as needed to handle your request, keep a record of your consent and meet legal obligations. After that we delete them.

Your choices and how to request deletion

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at [email protected] with the email address you used on the form. If we've already shared your request with dealers, we'll let you know which dealers received it so you can contact them directly. We can't delete copies held by those dealers ourselves.

To stop hearing from a dealer, tell that dealer directly.

Depending on where you live, state privacy laws may give you additional rights. Contact us at the address above to use them.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the information we collect. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please don't include sensitive personal information (such as financial account numbers) in the notes field.

Business use only

This website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
