How much does it cost to lease a copier in Atlanta?

Short answer: Copier Atlanta doesn't set prices. One third-party Atlanta copier leasing page publishes monthly ranges of $75–$150 for a desktop multifunction printer, $150–$300 for a workgroup A3 color multifunction and $300–$1,200 for a production-class color multifunction, with lease terms of 24, 36, 48 or 60 months (source below, accessed September 28, 2026). Your own price depends mainly on the machine, your monthly page volume, how much color you print, finishing options, the lease term and what the service agreement covers.

Copier Atlanta is an independent referral and quote-matching service. We aim to connect businesses with local copier dealers. We are not a copier dealer, lessor or repair company, and we do not sell, lease, rent or repair equipment ourselves.

The source's tier descriptions include a set number of pages and, for at least its desktop tier, a full-service contract, so these ranges aren't directly comparable to lease-only pricing where service is billed separately.

What goes into a copier lease price

A copier lease quote is usually several prices added together. Ask each dealer to list them separately:

  • The monthly equipment payment for the copier or multifunction printer.
  • The service agreement, which may cover repairs, parts, labor, toner and preventive maintenance. It's often billed separately from the lease payment.
  • Per-page charges (sometimes called click charges) for black-and-white and color pages, or a set number of included pages with overage rates above that.
  • One-time charges such as delivery, installation, network setup and removal of your old machine.
  • End-of-term costs such as return shipping, or the buyout price if you want to keep the machine.

What makes one copier lease quote higher than another

  • Machine size and speed. A desktop (A4) multifunction printer usually costs less than a floor-standing (A3) copier that handles larger paper and heavier use.
  • Color or black and white. Color machines and color pages usually cost more.
  • Monthly page volume. Higher volume needs a more capable machine and affects per-page charges.
  • Finishing and paper handling. Stapling, hole punching, booklet making and extra paper trays add cost.
  • Lease term. Longer terms usually mean lower monthly payments but a longer commitment.
  • Lease type. A fair market value (FMV) lease and a buyout lease (often called a dollar-buyout lease) are priced differently.
  • What the service agreement covers, and any software for scanning, secure printing or cost tracking.

Fees and terms to ask about before you sign

  • Can the monthly payment or per-page rates increase during the term, and by how much?
  • Is there a minimum monthly page commitment, and what are the overage rates?
  • Does the lease renew automatically, and how much notice must you give to end it?
  • What would it cost to end the lease early or upgrade mid-term?
  • Are delivery, installation, network setup and removal of the old machine included?
  • Who pays for packing and return shipping at the end of the term?
  • Does the leasing company add other charges to the invoice, such as taxes, insurance or document fees?
  • How is the copier's hard drive wiped or removed when the machine is returned?

How to compare copier lease quotes line by line

  1. Give every dealer the same information: rough monthly volume, color needs, must-have features and the lease term you want.
  2. Ask for the equipment payment, service charges and per-page rates as separate lines, in writing.
  3. Estimate the total cost over the whole term: the monthly payment and expected service or per-page charges, multiplied by the number of months, plus any one-time and end-of-term fees.
  4. Compare the lease type, renewal terms and what the service agreement covers, not just the monthly payment.

You can describe what you need once on our quote request form. Where suitable independent local dealers are available, we may pass your request to up to three of them.

Is leasing cheaper than buying or renting?

It depends on how long you'll keep the machine and how much you print. Buying means a larger upfront cost, but you own the copier and arrange service and supplies yourself. Leasing spreads the cost into monthly payments, often with service bundled in. Renting is built for short, defined periods; see copier rental in Atlanta. Many dealers can quote the same machine as a lease or a purchase, so you can compare both. Choose "Buy a copier" on the quote form if you'd like purchase quotes.

Frequently asked questions

Why do copier lease quotes vary so much between dealers?

Dealers may quote different machines, lease terms, lease types and service coverage, and some include pages, toner or delivery in the monthly price while others bill them separately. Ask for each part of the price as a separate line so you can compare like with like.

Does the monthly copier lease payment include toner and repairs?

Sometimes. Toner, parts and labor are often covered by a separate service agreement with its own charges. Ask each dealer exactly what the monthly price includes.

Is a longer copier lease cheaper?

A longer term usually lowers the monthly payment, but you're committed for longer and may pay more in total. Compare the total cost over the term, not only the monthly payment.

Can I get copier lease prices without a sales call?

You can send your request through our online form, and a phone number is optional. Dealers who receive your request may contact you by email, or by phone if you give a number.
